CHICAGO (November 9, 2022) – Leading talent advisory firm DHR Global announces the appointment of Philip Burton to Managing Partner in the firm’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) and Healthcare Practice Groups.
Burton will help to expand diversity at the C-suite and board-level through search assignments across the healthcare space and beyond. He will also work closely with the firm’s Leadership Consulting team to deliver DE&I consulting to clients.
As a leader in DE&I, Burton works to ensure that diversity-related practices are integrated into serving clients in executive search and leadership consulting. Adept at connecting people, ideas and actions, his areas of expertise include business development, leadership development, diversity and inclusion strategy, coaching, supplier diversity and cultural competence.
With 20+ years of experience in healthcare and life sciences and 10+ years in leadership roles, Burton has extensive experience aligning talent management and organizational development for his clients.
Prior to DHR, Burton led the DE&I Practice for a global executive search firm and was managing director at a healthcare consulting firm. He has previous corporate experience with Advocate Healthcare, Hillrom, Bayer, Lilly, Roche and Abbott.

Burton has a certification for DE&I from eCornell. In his free time, he finds numerous ways to give back, he previously served on the Board of the National Association of Health Services Executives and is past president of the Chicago-Midwest NAHSE Chapter. His additional associations and affiliations include the American College of Health Executives; Chicago Health Executive Forum, where he was the Co-Chair for the DEI committee; the National Association of Latino Health Executives; and AHA’s Institute for Diversity and Health Equity.
