Ben Godfrey joined the firm in May 2009.
Prior to joining DHR Global, Ben spent three years as a consultant with the global search firm in Boston and Chicago. He completed numerous mid- to senior-level assignments in the Midwest and Eastern regions of the United States.
Ben focuses his recruitment efforts in the financial officers space on a global basis. He has completed searches for chief financial officers and their subsequent teams across accounting, audit, corporate development, financial planning & analysis (fp&a), investor relations, tax, and treasury positions. He is frequently called upon to build out functional teams as part of an acquisition or when a new CFO is building out a team. As a functional expert he works across all industries and his clients range from small private equity/ venture backed companies to Fortune 500 companies.
He has a wide-ranging network of contacts from the CFO to director levels, which enables him to quickly develop a candidate pool anywhere in the country. He takes pride in creating a true partnership with his clients via open, honest communication and sense of urgency to find the best talent.
Prior to transitioning into the search industry, Ben worked for Bank of America as a credit analyst and as a commercial banker with Fifth Third Bank in Michigan.
A Michigan native, Ben attended Albion College and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish while playing for the men’s soccer team. He currently resides in Naperville with his wife Nikki and two kids, Logan and Karina.
