Don is a Partner in the DHR Global Life Sciences practice, where he advises pharmaceutical, biotechnology, diagnostics, and pharmaceutical services organizations on the recruitment of senior executives and general management leaders. His work spans Board Directors, Presidents, and Vice Presidents across commercial, medical, research and development, regulatory, finance, and technology functions.

With more than 25 years of executive search experience, Don brings a combination of deep search expertise and firsthand pharmaceutical industry experience to every assignment. His searches have included Chief Medical Officer, Chief Commercial Officer, Chief Information Officer, and senior Regulatory Affairs and R&D leadership roles. He was a Founding Partner of Discovery Search Partners before the firm was acquired by DHR Global. Earlier in his career, Don was a senior consultant with two leading global executive search firms, where he focused on Life Sciences and Healthcare.
Before entering executive search, Don spent his early career in the pharmaceutical industry, advancing through increasingly senior sales and marketing roles and leading commercial organizations. He worked closely with senior management on strategies for both marketed products and products in development, gaining a practical understanding of the organizational, commercial, and leadership challenges facing commercial organizations.
That combination of industry experience and executive search expertise enables Don to bring an informed perspective to leadership assignments. He understands not only the capabilities required for a role, but also the leadership qualities and industry experience that distinguish executives who can make a meaningful impact within a life sciences organization.
Don holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Old Dominion University.
