Experience

Joe is involved across the full talent lifecycle rather than a single stage of the hiring process, and many of his client and candidate relationships span years. He takes a modern approach to search, putting AI and new technologies to practical use to improve productivity, client service, and business development.

Prior to joining DHR, Joe was a Partner at a specialist executive search firm, where his work also extended into airport services. Before that, he co-founded a global executive search firm in the sector and served as its Managing Partner. Through these roles, he has built an extensive global network across the supply chain and transportation industries.

Joe also brings an in-house perspective to his search work. He held senior talent acquisition leadership roles with Maersk, CEVA Logistics, and EV Cargo, where he led executive hiring strategy and talent acquisition initiatives on a global scale and managed large teams. Working alongside C-suite executives, particularly in private equity-backed organizations, gave him a close view of how senior leaders operate and what boards and investors expect of them. He helped build internal talent programs and organizational initiatives, and he partnered with leading global executive search firms from the client side, giving him a firsthand understanding of both the strengths and the challenges of the executive search industry.

Joe began his career as a professional footballer with Coventry City FC and represented the Republic of Ireland. He started in recruiting at a global recruitment firm before moving into executive search.
