Michele serves as a Principal in the Nonprofit practice and is based in North Carolina. Working with clients globally, she specializes in helping nonprofit organizations find and develop leaders through her expertise in executive search.

Working collaboratively with DHR’s Leadership Consulting group, she also assists with projects concerning strategy, business planning, governance and executive compensation in the nonprofit sector.

Michele has been supporting nonprofit organizations for more than 25 years, in both executive search and internal talent acquisition roles. Her career with DHR began in 2001, where she was in the Nonprofit practice until 2016 when she joined JDRF as National Director, Talent Acquisition. At JDRF, Michele built an internal recruiting team to support hiring throughout the organization, created resources critical for proactive recruiting, managed employer branding and launched an interview training program. She returned to the DHR team in 2021. Earlier in her career, Michele served as a Director in the Nonprofit Practice at A.T. Kearney.

Michele is active in the nonprofit sector as a volunteer and board member. She served on the Board of JDRF’s Triangle/Eastern NC chapter for six years, on the Advisory Board of UNC Chapel Hill’s Pediatric Endocrinology program and has worked with Business Volunteers for the Arts in NYC and DC. She is currently volunteering with the North Carolina Center for Nonprofits, providing pro bono guidance to member nonprofits.

Michele has a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Arts in Arts Administration from Southern Methodist University. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Duke University.
