Tara supports DHR’s Chief Executive Officer and Executive Vice President of Operations in identifying and executing long-term, best in class, strategies for the continued growth and development of the Recruiting & Research teams. She is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, capacity planning, ensuring the integrity of the internal applicant tracking system and the continued growth and development of the Recruiting & Research team. Tara works closely with Partners to provide ongoing support for their searches across business development initiatives, research and execution.

Tara began her career with DHR over 10 years ago, when she joined the firm as an Associate. She started as a generalist, supporting a variety of partners spanning an array of industries and functions. She soon joined the Global Retail & Consumer Practice Group where she spent the next 7+ years directly supporting the global Practice Group Leader. During this time, Tara progressed into Senior Associate and Principal roles while executing searches and bringing in business to the firm. She successfully completed searches at the C-Suite and Executive levels in all functional areas, including: marketing, operations, human resources, finance, information technology, supply chain, legal and sales.

Before stepping into her current role, Tara spent a year and a half as a Vice President a boutique executive search firm focused in the food and beverage Industry. In this capacity she was focused on the attraction of top talent to domestic and global organizations in public, private, and private equity-backed organizations across the consumer, hospitality and retail spaces.

Tara earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from the University of Iowa and a Master of Science degree from Hunter College in New York City. She resides in Peoria, Ill. with her husband and three children.
