Real Estate Board & CEO Panel
Recently DHR’s Real Estate Practice and Board & CEO Practice collaborated to host a successful breakfast panel in San Francisco.
The event was spearheaded by Vince Saunders who put together a panel featuring Doug Abbey, Chairman, Swift Real Estate; Gary Beasley, CEO/Co-Founder, Roofstock; and Chris Wightman, Governance Partner, PJT Camberview. This highly regarded panel, along with invitations and personal outreach by Vince to an exclusive group of real estate clients, senior executives, and board members brought more than 30 key clients to the event.
To inform key clients about DHR’s Real Estate capabilities while also making it a value-added event, Vince worked closely with Heather Smith and Mary Matthews. Vince highlighted the practice’s capability and client base; Heather introduced the DHR Board Practice by sharing real estate board governance trends and statistics specific to the boards represented in the room, and Mary expertly moderated the panel and engaged the audience based on her many years of board and real estate recruiting. It was a team effort successfully executed and positively received.
From this event, the Real Estate and Board Practice members have been reaching out to those who attended and those who were invited but unable to make it. The day of the event and the follow up has contributed to more than 10 meetings in the group’s pipeline. A great way to start 2020 in full swing!
