Global executive search firm DHR International is pleased to announce Rob Tillman has joined the firm as Managing Partner of the company’s Global Financial Officer Practice. In addition, he will serve as a key leader in the firm’s Private Equity and Advanced Technology Practices and will work closely with DHR’s advisory services team, Elevate Partners.
As one of few consultants with extensive experience as an executive recruiter combined with certification and expertise as an executive coach, Tillman has served with three of the world’s largest executive search firms and led two of the country’s leading boutiques. He has also specialized in recruiting c-level executives including more than 300 Chief Financial Officers and Chief Information Officers over three decades.
“As leaders face tremendous challenges during these difficult times, joining DHR will allow me to do more for my clients with greater resources, a team of like-minded partners, and a vibrant network in a global firm,” states Tillman. “Executive search is fundamentally an entrepreneurial and creative business, and DHR strikes the right balance of providing the structure and resources to support its partners while fostering the entrepreneurial spirit and flexibility I believe is central to doing great work.”
Prior to joining DHR, Tillman founded and served as President of TillmanCarlson, which he and his team established as one of the country’s leading executive search boutiques. Over 17 years, the firm recruited more than 400 leaders, and Tillman personally recruited over 200 Chief Financial Officers and Chief Information Officers while achieving industry leading completion and stick rates of 95% and 98%. In addition, Tillman developed a powerful and practical approach to integrate assessment and coaching in every search.
Tillman began his career in search with Russell Reynolds Associates in Chicago. He then joined former colleagues as the Managing Partner of Crist Partners where he led the firm through its highly successful sale to Korn Ferry. Tillman also worked in public accounting, having completed his undergraduate degree in accounting at the University of Illinois, and he completed his certification as an executive coach at The Hudson Institute.
