John leads the Global Human Resources Practice and is Managing Partner of the Los Angeles office. He brings over 25 years of experience in Global CPG, Retail, Hospitality, Life Sciences, and Healthcare, with special emphasis on organizational effectiveness, DEI&B, culture and employee inspiration.

Known as an innovative and strategic human resources and talent acquisition leader, John works with organizations to assess structure and build leadership teams to achieve outstanding business results.

Prior to joining DHR, John served as Partner in the Human Capital Practice at a London-based global executive search and human capital advisory firm. Additionally, John founded a global human resources consulting firm. Leading the firm for more than a decade, he specialized in designing and delivering comprehensive leadership development programs, recognized by Catalyst and Boston Globe as best-in-class development for women.

Earlier in his career, John served in several CHRO and senior human resource roles, with companies such as PepsiCo, Mattel, The Gap, DaVita, Medco Health and Cigna. John holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master’s degree in marketing and international business from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Active in his community, John served on several non-profit boards such as the American Diabetes Association of South Florida, the Board of Trustees of Renbrook School in West Hartford, CT, and was Vice Chair of AYSO, Region 1258. He taught “Managing Strategy in Healthcare”, an MBA course at Northeastern University, and was a panelist for the Global STEM Talent Summit in Washington DC. John is an avid golfer, hiker, soccer coach, and wine collector. John is fluent in Spanish and lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Jenny.
