He specializes in leading and executing search assignments for CEOs, CFOs, COOs, Presidents, Board Directors, Financial Officers and other functional leaders for middle market private equity portfolio companies.

Experience

Lars has over 35 years of experience in senior management, sales & marketing operations and employee development in various sectors including private equity, financial services, insurance, industrial, healthcare, telecommunications, retail, IT and nonprofit. Prior to joining DHR, Lars was Senior Vice President and General Manager at Straumann USA, a privately held Swiss company. At Straumann, he recruited, hired and managed Sales and Marketing Managers throughout the United States.

Lars has been with DHR in New York City for 23 years and spent the previous 15 years in Washington, D.C. He served on President Reagan’s re-election campaign in 1984 and then went on to work in the State Department for the Agency for International Development. Following his political career, Lars joined Spaulding and Slye Commercial Real Estate in Washington, D.C. where he gained extensive experience in real estate leasing, sales and finance.

Lars received a bachelor’s degree from Denison University in 1984 and has served on the Foundation Board of Stamford Hospital for the past 13 years. He currently resides with his wife and their two boys in Connecticut.
