Simon began his career as an Economist with Talisman Energy. He entered the search industry in 2005, joining Thorpe Molloy Recruitment in Aberdeen, Scotland, where he recruited in the financial sector before launching the firm’s engineering division.
In 2012, Simon joined Maxwell Drummond International, predominantly supporting their oil and gas clients, and later moved to Calgary, Alberta with the firm. In 2016, he co-founded an executive search firm focused on the energy transition. There he played a lead role in business development strategy, executing senior-level assignments and leading account development.
Simon earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Studies at The Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland. He sits on the board of the British and Commonwealth Business Association of Canada. In his spare time he enjoys playing sports, watching his adopted ice hockey team play and spending time in the Rockies or the Okanagan with his wife, young daughter and English Bulldog.
