SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA (NOVEMBER 2, 2026) – Leading talent advisory firm DHR Global announced today that Mark Sungrae Kim has joined the firm as Managing Partner based in Seoul, South Korea, and is a member of the Consumer & Retail and Life Sciences Practices.
Kim brings 34 years of executive search and industry experience, working with Korean conglomerates and multinational corporations. He’s completed more than 200 executive placements spanning commercial, corporate, and operational leadership.
“I’ve worked on both sides of the executive search relationship, first as a corporate leader and then as an adviser, helping companies make some of their most consequential leadership decisions,” Kim said. “That experience taught me to look beyond a candidate’s credentials and understand how the person will contribute to the business. I’m excited to bring that perspective to DHR Global and lead a Seoul office that clients turn to for thoughtful counsel on their most important leadership needs.”
Before joining DHR, Kim spent close to 19 years with a global executive search firm, where he held senior roles. He served for seven years as the firm’s leader in South Korea, overseeing its Seoul office and advising clients on senior executive and board appointments.
Kim’s experience before executive search gives him an additional perspective on the leadership challenges clients face. He spent more than a decade with a major Korean consumer group, holding roles in corporate planning, business development, and investor relations. His work included advising senior leadership and working with investors, analysts, and other stakeholders. Earlier in his career, Kim held positions in foreign exchange and aviation fuel sales.
He earned a Master of Business Administration and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Yonsei University in Seoul.
