IGNITES: The Covid-19 pandemic brought increased flexibility from remote working to hybrid schedules. Now, some companies are offering employees the opportunity to adjust their hours to help sick family members or take care of children. Jeanne E. Branthover, Managing Partner, Global Financial Services/Fintech Practice discussed what’s driving this change with Rachel Dalloo of Ignites:
“You’ve got women who are moms, that may not have the help they need at home for certain amounts of time,” said Branthover. “The pandemic has taught them it’s not only essential but it’s what they want to do, and it has taught fathers that they have the flexibility to be around their families more during the week. Even though they were doing their jobs well, they still have family time, which has become essential to many people.”
