Seoul (October 25, 2023) – Leading talent advisory firm DHR Global announces that Fred Chang-Hyun Jo has joined as Partner in the Industrial Practice Group, based in the firm’s Seoul office.

With over 25 years of experience, Jo has built his expertise across a wide range of industrial practices, with a special focus on automotive and auto parts, energy and renewables, chemical and materials, semiconductor and display, automation, supply chain management, and shipping services. Additionally, Jo has worked in various sectors including internet and platform business, media and entertainment, finance, professional services, education, and nonprofit. He is particularly successful in working with clients under challenging circumstances, including restructuring, turnarounds, and startups.

Prior to joining DHR, Jo served as a Client Partner at a global organizational consulting firm where he specialized in C-level and Board-level placements in global industrial, technology, and finance sectors in Korea. Jo worked for top global retained executive search organizations and was the founder of his firm which provided search consulting and career coaching services for executives and professionals. He spearheaded the exporting of executive search opportunities of Korean chaebols to the US, Europe, and Asia Pacific, and was exposed to the Board selection process and mapping projects for leading Korean conglomerates and a top two financial group holding company.

Before his executive search career, Jo worked in human resources functions for Korean conglomerates, like Sunkyung (SK). He was also a professor for Kyung Hee University, focused on organization, culture, and careers of multinational companies.

Jo earned an MBA from the Korean Development Institute School of Public Policy and Management, Seoul, and holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and international relations from Korea University, Seoul.
