Ray serves as a Managing Partner in the Diversity and Life Sciences Practice Groups. With more than 15 years of executive search experience, he focuses on producing diverse candidate slates and specializes in roles for the healthcare and medical device industries.

Experience

Prior to joining Jobplex, Ray founded and led The Knight Group, an executive search firm focused on healthcare and diversity. In addition, he was the Managing Director of a boutique executive search firm, where he focused on healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical device and hospital networks.

Previously, Ray was Deputy Director and CIO for the State of Illinois focused on strategic planning and performance management for the Department of Child & Family Services. He also served as COO for General Wellness Inc, a healthcare consultancy start-up.

Ray earned his Bachelor’s degree in economics from Oberlin College, where he was a member of the varsity basketball team. He holds a Master’s degree in public policy and finance from the University of Chicago.
