He specializes in C-level technology searches across all practices, with a focus on industrial technology, fintech, healthcare IT, consumer & retail and professional services.

Sal has 30 years of experience as an executive recruiter, completing more than 1,000 technology searches throughout his career. His clients range from Fortune 500 to venture capital-backed startup technology firms and he is consistently a top producer at DHR.

Previously, Sal led the Technology Practice for a Silicon Valley boutique search firm for four years and spent six years as Global Director of Executive Search and Global Director of Talent Acquisition at Lucent Technologies. Prior to that he founded and served as President of DiFranco & Associates, a Chicago-based full‐service boutique search firm that specialized in executive sales management and technology sales for Fortune 500 companies.

Sal earned a Bachelor of Science from Illinois State University and holds certifications in negotiations from the University of Notre Dame. He is an active volunteer in the Chicago suburb where he resides.
